“As human beings we are naturally sinful and break Gods law continually. Whether it is hate we have harbored in our hearts or lust that stirs up within us, we do not love God like we should. We are not naturally righteous for scriptures say, ‘None is righteous not one, Nobody understands’ (Romans 3:11).
But if we are not righteous how then will we be made righteous, because God cannot look upon the wicked or invite them into His Kingdom?
It is only by the perfect sacrifice of Jesus. In the Old Testament the Israelites use to sacrifice animals to God so that sacrifice of blood would atone for their sins and satisfy God’s wrath.
But now a greater sacrifice has come to the earth, the Perfect Son of God, who is the essense of God, and is God. Christ who is called Jesus came down from His throne on high to became a man and die.
Why did the Son of God come to Earth just to die?
Because God cannot look on sin and in God’s eyes sin MUST be punished. So He sent Jesus to die on a cross and be punished for our sins, so that in God’s eyes we may be seen as righteous and His wrath may be satisfied by the sacrifice of Jesus.
He was our substitute!
We should be paying for our sins sin Hell one day, and today, but instead Jesus took that punishment for us and died.
Three days later He rose again, giving us hope that we too might be raised after our death and be in Heaven with our Master.
Jesus says one of His great desires is the, “the ones whom the Father has given may be where He is also, so that they may see the Glory that the Father has given Him.”
(John 17:24)
And how might we obtain this righteousness that is given to us because of Christ perfection and sacrifice?
The Scriptures say, “Believe in the Lord Jesus and you shall be saved” (Acts 16:31).
Because we are justified through faith and faith alone. Read Romans 3:23-5;21. Believe. That’s it. Trust what the scripture says.
Trust what Jesus says as absolute truth and He will give you peace, joy, hope, and rest.”
